Housekeeping

Kitchen

Restaurant & Bar
Did you know the first known restaurant-style food and beverage service dates back to the 12th century in Hangzhou, China, during the Song dynasty? In 1765, a French entrepreneur named Boulanger opened a place in Paris offering food he prepared himself, with a sign reading: “Come to me, all of you with empty stomachs, and I will restore you.”
Hotel restaurants and bars are attractive destinations — visiting them is one of the most enjoyable ways to experience a new place. The tourism season wouldn’t be complete without waiters and bartenders, some of the most essential professions in the sector.
Valamar Experience Concierge
The Valamar Experience Concierge is the go-to person for insider knowledge to help guests enjoy a perfectly planned vacation. Their open spirit, helpfulness, and enthusiasm — combined with a wealth of local tips — turn every guest’s trip into a unique experience.
Technical Services
The technical department ensures the maintenance of all our facilities. Maintenance combines technical, administrative, and managerial activities related to equipment upkeep, environmental care, and operational systems. Gardeners and landscape staff look after the greenery around our properties, while in-house maintenance workers handle repairs quickly and efficiently.
Animation
Fun and relaxation are essential to a dream vacation. While some guests immediately think of spa treatments, others enjoy sports and entertainment led by our animation team. They design fun and active programs and create a welcoming atmosphere in Valamar hotels and camps.
Sports, Beaches, Pools & Wellness
These are among guests’ favorite amenities. Our staff ensures cleanliness, safety, and available equipment on beaches, and they also care for our guests’ body and soul in the wellness centers

Employee Training and Development
Employee development is a key pillar of HR management at Imperial. This year, we continued with various programs aimed at supporting both personal and professional growth — a prerequisite for delivering high-quality service in tourism.
Imperial offers training opportunities through internal programs and the PERO digital platform, which provides flexible access to educational content. Through PERO, employees can learn at their convenience about standard operating procedures, tourism trends, job skills, and personal development.
We also emphasize live training, including language courses, sommelier classes, bartender school, legally required training, and advanced specialization programs. Knowledge-sharing is especially strong through the V-Academy, a long-running program developed in partnership with Valamar. At the end of 2024, a new generation of 28 participants began their year-long learning journey through mentoring, workshops, and leadership development.
Managers and mentors at Imperial also focus on onboarding new employees, conducting regular training to help them acquire necessary skills quickly and efficiently.
The ValamarGO! onboarding program, in cooperation with Valamar, provides structured five-day training for new food & beverage employees. Guided by experienced mentors, new colleagues learn through real-life scenarios how to deliver exceptional guest service. This program will expand further in the coming year to support even more new team members.
Scholarships for Students and Pupils
Imperial continues its scholarship program in 2025. In partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the program provides financial support for students during their studies, along with internship opportunities and skill-building. Students gain valuable work experience at our hotels, resorts, and camps — and are guaranteed employment after graduation.
This program encourages hospitality students to explore what a career in tourism looks like, learn about advancement opportunities, and discover the benefits of this dynamic industry.
